Getting back from setbacks and making a structured path and roadmap to the reason I was here
Hey tech enthusiasts! It’s time for a candid update on my journey to level up my career and kickstart some exciting projects. August is all about laying the groundwork for a successful September. It is shaping up to be a whirlwind of productivity and personal growth.
Clearing the Mental Clutter
I’m starting by tackling the mental backlog that’s been weighing me down. This involves:
- Project Completion: Bringing those lingering projects to a satisfying conclusion. It’s time to clear the decks and free up mental space for new challenges.
- Design Doc Overhaul: Dusting off those unfinished design documents and giving them the attention they deserve. It’s essential to have these well-documented for future reference and to showcase my design thinking.
- Course Completion: Finally finishing those online courses I’ve been meaning to finish. Knowledge is power, and it’s time to solidify my learning by finishing what I started.
Job Hunt Preparation: Building a Strong Foundation
While I’m excited about new projects, my top priority is securing a software engineering role. To achieve this, I’m focusing on:
- Online Presence Enhancement: My portfolio, website, resume, GitHub profile, and LinkedIn are undergoing a major facelift. It’s essential to create a compelling online presence that showcases my skills and experiences effectively.
- Targeted Job Search: Researching companies, tailoring my resume for specific roles, and practicing interview questions are on the agenda. I’m determined to hit the ground running in September with a well-prepared job application strategy.
September: #100DaysOfCode Challenge & Career Launch
I’m eagerly anticipating September, which will be a whirlwind of coding, learning, and career advancement. Here’s what I’m planning:
- #100DaysOfCode: Embarking on a daily coding challenge to strengthen my skills and build a portfolio of projects. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me!
- Intensive Job Search: Leveraging my improved online presence and job search preparation, I’ll be actively applying for software engineering roles. This is the month to make my career transition a reality.
Side Hustles and Hobbies (For Now)
While I’m passionate about my side hustles and hobbies, they’ll take a backseat for the time being. My full focus is on clearing my mental debt, nailing the job hunt, and embarking on the #100DaysOfCode challenge. These priorities will set the stage for a fulfilling and successful future.
I’m excited to share this journey with you and keep you updated on my progress.
