Daily writing prompt
How do you plan your goals?

Writing out what’s on your mind is one of many approaches to grasp.

The tech world moves at a breakneck pace. New tools, trends, and challenges pop up daily. Amidst the chaos, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. So, how do I keep my goals in check? Surprisingly, it’s not about complex strategies or fancy apps. For me, it’s all about simplicity.

The Power of the To-Do List

I’m a firm believer in the humble to-do list. There’s something undeniably satisfying about crossing items off a list. It’s a visual representation of progress, and it keeps me focused. I break down larger goals into smaller, actionable tasks and jot them down. It sound old-school, but it works.

Visualizing with a Timeline

To get a better grasp of how these tasks fit together, I use a timeline. Think of it as a digital Kanban board. I plot out major projects and deadlines, then fill in the smaller tasks. This visual overview helps me see potential bottlenecks and adjust my priorities so.

The Importance of Execution

While planning is essential, execution is the real key to success. It’s easy to get caught up in the planning phase, but taking action is what truly moves you send. Unfortunately, my current night shift job in a non-tech field makes it challenging. I find it hard to muster the energy and time to fully dedicate myself to tech goals. Balancing work, personal life, and skill development has been a constant struggle.

Finding a work-life balance and transitioning out of this job is a major hurdle I’m working to overcome. It’s a challenge many people face. I’m determined to find a solution that allows me to pursue my tech passions. I will do this without compromising my well-being.
